Recipe Friday: what do vegans eat

When I tell people I’m a vegan, their first question is usually “what do you eat?” To which I answer, “everything but meat and dairy.” I’m not trying to be rude, but really, I eat so much variety, it’s hard to describe. Most dishes contain rice, lentils, beans, grain, quinoa, or something else. Plus vegetables. And gomasio. Always gomasio. (more about gomasio later.)

To help me answer with a little more focus, I am keeping a blog of what we (my husband and I) eat on a daily/weekly basis. I’m listing my weekly menu and some photos of our delicious meals.

So, check it out. Or not. It’s really just for us to help plan, but it might help you understand what vegans eat.

The blog: terra, not terror eats.

    • That’s what I love… the variety. And I think your palate opens up so much when you eat a plant-based diet. There are so many foods that I didn’t think I liked (avocados!) that I absolutely love now.

  1. I agree ; as a vegetarian , I eat a wide variety of food – just no meat and light dairy . Great post and I look forward to sharing more with you:)

  2. Thanks Jon! I love your blog and I, too, have found so much healing from tai chi, qigong, meditation, and a healthy diet. It really works.

Your kind thoughts...
